Uganda Premier League side Lugazi Football Club has confirmed a one-year partnership with FUFA Women’s Super League, Asubo Ladies Football Club.
The development has been announced via Lugazi’s official website today, Wednesday July 30, 2025.
“Lugazi Football Club and Asubo Ladies Football Club have entered into partnership for a period of one season,” the statement partly reads.
Asubo Ladies were promoted to the top tier after losing to St Noa in the FUFA Women’s Elite League final that was played at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso.
The club was founded in 2012 as Gafford Girls Soccer Academy before revamping into the Asubo Ladies FC.
In 2017, Asubo Ladies finished as runners-up in the FUFA Women’s Cup, earning a silver medal after losing to Olila High School WFC in the final held in Busia.
