MAFS STAR Nathan Campbell has today extended an olive branch to his ex Lacey Martin after she branded him "fame hungry" over his new romance. The Sun revealed last week that Nathan had found love again with blonde bombshell Abi Moores, after meeting earlier this year. Nathan, 24, shot to fame last year when he appeared on Married At First Sight, where he wed Lacey, 27, The marriage didn't work out amid accusations of a "showmance", and he has now moved on with Love Island bombshell Abi, 26. However, a source recently told The Sun that Nathan's ex Lacey believed he is only dating Abi for "fame". Despite the animosity between the three of them, the MAFS groom and his new girlfriend have extended an olive branch to his ex-wife and said he "wished her well". In an interview with Fubar Radio, he said: "I really hope she is in a better place, and just a reminder to everyone to be kind." Later in the interview he said: "I'd love to rekindle some sort of friendship there, you know, we went through quite an intense experiment together. "We were together all the time, every day, and we were really close, and we had a really good journey compared to a lot of the other people. "But, I would like to rekindle some sort of friendship there” GOING PUBLIC New couple Nathan and Abi have wasted no time in going public with their budding romance, after The Sun revealed last week they had got together. This week they were spotted rubbing shoulders with presenter Vick Hope and actress Tillie Amarty at the launch of Radio 1's Big Weekend. At the event they spoke to The Sun and Abi told us: "We wanted to keep it really private to start with. When you date and when you tell someone about it and it just goes terrible. I've been single for five years. "We met and we got on really well and wanted to just make sure it was proper." Nathan and Abi first teased their new romance last week as they both shared pictures holding hands with a mystery person during a relaxing spa date. They told us that that a former Love Islander and mutual friend played "cupid" and set them up on a blind date. Abi explained: "Reuben Collins introduced us. I'm really good friends with Reuben, once he came off the show we became friends. "He always said to me that he felt really sorry for me and my dating life and said 'why can't we find you a man?'. "So he said to me to come down to Sellebrity Soccer because it was in my local area. "Me and Reuben were going for dinner afterwards but he full on blind dated me - he set me up. "I turn up and Reuben said he was going in the changing rooms and he'd be right back and then he sent Nathan out, and he said 'Reuben, told me to come and speak to you because you fancy me." Meanwhile, a pal close to Nathan's ex Lacey has said she is shocked by the new romance and believes her former flame was only in it for the "fame". They told The Sun: “Lacey can’t believe after Nathan making out she was the fame hungry one he’s now seeing a girl from Love Island." "She feels like this is what he always wanted and that’s fame. "He spoke about wanting to be a model and be in a boy band and do I’m A Celeb." The friend also said Lacey is convinced his new relationship is simply for prolong his career in the industry.
