A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car this afternoon. The female was struck on Kilmarnock's Kilmaurs Road at around 1.25pm, police have confirmed. Officials say the pedestrian has been rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment. The condition of the pedestrian or the extent of her injuries has not been disclosed. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Kilmaurs Road, Kilmarnock is closed following a crash between a car and a female pedestrian reported around 1.25pm on Sunday, 29 June, 2025. "The pedestrian has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. "Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing. "Drivers are asked to avoid the area."
