Man charged with series of Birmingham and Solihull burglaries

A man has been charged with burglary and robbery offences in Birmingham and Solihull . Paul Young, 40, of Portland Road in Edgbaston , is accused of four burglaries, two attempted burglaries, a robbery and causing injury by dangerous driving. The 40-year-old was arrested last week in Birmingham and was set to appear at the city’s magistrates’ court today, Thursday, April 17. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We have charged a man in connection with a series of burglaries in Solihull and Birmingham. “Paul Young will appear before magistrates today charged with burglary, robbery, possession of a knife and driving offences.” READ MORE: Ambulance worker jailed for series of child sex offences - with one on duty Get the latest BirminghamLive news direct to your inbox The statement continued: “This is after the 40-year-old was arrested in Birmingham last week. “Young is accused of being involved in four burglaries and an attempted burglary in Solihull, as well as an attempted burglary in Birmingham. “He is also accused of robbery and causing serious injury by dangerous driving in Birmingham.”
