Man United is not like Arsenal — Amorim says he won't get time like Gunners gave Arteta

Ruben Amorim said he would not get as much time to get it right as Mikel Arteta was given by Arsenal.
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim does not believe he will be given as much time to fine-tune his ideas as Mikel Arteta was allowed at Arsenal.
Amorim was brought in midseason as a replacement for Erik ten Hag. The club hoped the Portuguese could be the long-awaited solution in the dugout for Manchester United, 12 years after their last manager to win the league left, Sir Alex Ferguson.
While it was understood that the task could not be accomplished overnight, regression was not envisaged. Before he was hired, the Red Devils were four points off the top four. Now, they are 14th, and 14 points off Manchester City in 4th.

Amorim does not expect time
Manchester United host Arsenal on Sunday, and in the pre-match press conference, he was asked if he was expected to be afforded as much time as Arteta was, given their recent struggles.
Amorim said, “I will not have the time that Arteta had. I feel that,” per Fabrizio Romano.
“It's a different club. So we just need to survive the players on Sunday and me during these games. I think it's a different club.”
Arsenal's Mikel Arteta has always been cited as a positive example of a big club giving young, project-leading managers ample time.
The Gunners finished 8th in Arteta's first two seasons in charge. He finished fifth in his third. Despite calls from sections of the Gunners fanbase to sack the Spaniard, the club's leadership insisted on him.
In the 2022/23 season, he led Arsenal to an unlikely title charge, where they finished second. They were second in the subsequent season, going closer than the last time, and are on course for another second-place finish, a significant improvement from what was the norm for the club in over a decade before the Basque tactician took the job.
