Manchester United's Carrington training ground has undergone a significant £50m redevelopment, funded by Sir Jim Ratcliffe. The revamp aims to modernise the facilities, which were previously criticised, and foster a more collaborative environment for staff and players. New features include smart urinals for hydration tracking, sleeping pods, a high-altitude training room, and recreational amenities like an F1 simulator. Sir Alex Ferguson, who opened the original Carrington, praised the improvements, noting the return to a family-like atmosphere. The club hopes the upgraded facilities will eliminate excuses for underperformance and set a positive precedent for future projects, such as a new stadium.
