Marcus Rashford transfer latest as Barcelona make 'decision' on Manchester United star's fee
@Source: manchestereveningnews.co.uk
Barcelona are, reportedly, willing to sign Marcus Rashford during the summer transfer window, but Manchester United have not been given the clear green light to sell him. Rashford left United on loan in the January transfer window , after a falling out with Ruben Amorim regarding his application in training and the manager's new system. Since leaving, the 27-year-old has partially rediscovered his form at Aston Villa and this has led clubs to start circling around the forward. It has always been outlined that Villa would need to qualify for next season's Champions League if they were to lure Rashford to the west Midlands. Currently, this seems unlikely, so their £40million agreed option to buy might not be activated by Unai Emery's side this summer. On Tuesday, The Mirror reported that Rashford would be willing to cut his wages - if it meant he could sign for his "dream" club Barcelona in the summer transfer window. It's thought Rashford could be on as much as £350,000 per week at Old Trafford , which is believed to be out of Barca's budget. However on Wednesday, The i Paper reported it understands that Barca would be willing to sign Rashford and, in turn, make his "dream" come true. The La Liga giants would want to negotiate on the transfer fee, though. It's claimed they would want to see his £40million asking price reduce if they are to green light the deal. They are believed to be aware of the position that United find themselves in regarding sales to fund new signings and that will 'affect their negotiations" - according to the newspaper. The Manchester Evening News understands that Rashford has been earmarked to be sold, this summer, to fund Amorim's transfer business. Both Wolves star Matheus Cunha and Ipswich Town's Liam Delap are on the radar as the club look to bolster their attack.
