Max Homa will have a spring in his step heading into the Masters despite a challenging season so far. The six-time PGA Tour victor has shared the news on Instagram that he and his wife, Lacey, are expecting their second child. To his 737,000 followers, Homa posted a sweet family photo with Lacey and son Cam, captioning it: "Baby no. 2 coming soon!" The post was soon greeted with warm wishes from members of the golf community, including Nelly Korda and Michelle Wie West. Meanwhile, Lacey expressed her joy in the comments, writing: "I love you and Cam so much!" The personal joy arrives at a key time for Homa, who has endured a tough start to the season. Currently 81st in the world rankings, Homa is set for his sixth appearance at the Augusta National but the first with his new caddie, Bill Harke. Opening up about the end of his partnership with long-time pal Joe Greiner, Homa revealed: "It was not my choice, so it sucked. "But we always had a deal that we're friends first and friendship mattered more than the work thing. And he was wise enough to do what he did." The Masters has often been a challenging event for the California-born golfer. After failing to make the cut in 2020 and 2021 and finishing in the 40s in 2022 and 2023, Homa secured a career-best T-3 finish. That impressive performance was the cherry on top of a strong run in major championships, following his T-10 at the 2023 Open at Royal Liverpool and a Presidents Cup appearance for Team USA later that year. However, 2025 has been a different story, with Homa struggling for form. After a T-26 finish at The Sentry to kick off the year, he withdrew from the Farmers Insurance Open, then missed the cut in five consecutive PGA Tour events. A missed cut at The Players Championship added to the slump, which continued after a disappointing performance at the Valero Texas Open. In contrast, 2023 saw Homa play some of the best golf of his career. He ended the season ranked seventh in the world after bagging three wins across the PGA and DP World Tours. Last season was a rollercoaster for Homa, although he secured three top-10 finishes and made the cut at three of the four majors.
