MEGHAN and Harry's TV bosses are hoping for a "divorce deal" if the pair decide to split, it has been claimed. Despite the Sussexes' disastrous Netflix contract, execs will be reluctant cut ties with the couple in case of a potential break-up, said journalist and TV expert Marina Hyde. Meanwhile, rival streamers may also be looking to "keep a vague hand in", she told fellow co-host Richard Osman on the most recent episode of The Rest is Entertainment podcast. The columnist and screenwriter said: "The reality is that a lot of people are hanging around in case there's a divorce. "That might be why Netflix, or whoever it might be, who's got to deal with them, might keep a vague hand in." However, Marina, 50, did not believe Netflix would renew its $100 million contract with the pair, adding: "They [Netflix] are not going to renew." After dropping on March 4, Meghan's new lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, was hit with widespread criticism. The eight-part series only has a 2.9/10 rating on IMDb with many deeming it “outdated” and unrelatable. Despite the frosty reviews, it has been revealed Netflix is making a second series of With Love Meghan. The duchess posted on Instagram saying she's "thrilled" with the decision. Wearing a Netflix cap she was seen grinning in a short clip on her stories, with the caption: "Lettuce romaine calm… or not(!) because I'm thrilled to share that Season 2 of 'With Love, Meghan' is coming!" However, sources say the sequel is no indication Netflix will want another major deal with Prince Harry and his wife - as it was likely already filmed back-to-back with the first and was part of the initial contract. A TV insider said: “Netflix have been broadly pleased with the show and don’t care if the reviews are scathing. “The streamer’s name has been on everyone’s lips for the past week and that’s a victory for them. “But it’s now a question of whether they feel that striking another deal represents value for money, or if they feel that they have explored all the opportunities they can with the couple.” With Love, Meghan is not the Duchess's only media venture recently, with a new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, set to land on April 8. The project, with Lemonada Media, will invite listeners to "be a fly on the wall as Meghan sits down for candid conversations with female founders and friends", the US podcast company said. It was initially delayed following the Los Angeles wildfires. Meghan's goals Meghan, 43, has recently admitted she makes "mistakes" but insisted that she is "learning every day". In an interview with bookshop Godmothers, which was named by Meghan's pal Oprah Winfrey, she was asked when she last "felt like a beginner at something". She said: "Right now! I'm launching my business, As Ever, which has been my heartsong for years. Every day I'm learning so much as a founder. "I'm taking baby steps and big strides at the same time, making mistakes and learning from them, and really working to find all the joy while diving into the creative process and the business. "Being in the granular parts of the business gives me the same feeling I have when I'm gardening: bare hands in the soil, planting a seed with so much care, and nurturing it as it grows. "There's something energising about being in my 40s and turning my passion project into a business—and sharing that with the world."
