Meghan Markle's true feelings on UK return after Prince Harry's latest visa blow
@Source: dailyrecord.co.uk
Meghan Markle reportedly has "no intention of moving back to the UK" despite a recent setback for Prince Harry concerning his US visa application, according to a Royal commentator. The Duke of Sussex finds himself in a difficult position after a US court ruled that his visa application must be made public by Tuesday. This follows a controversy sparked by revelations about his past drug use in his memoir, Spare. Judge Carl Nichols ordered the release of the documents as part of an ongoing Freedom of Information (FOI) request brought by US think tank the Heritage Foundation. The conservative Washington DC-based organisation alleged that the duke may have hidden previous illegal drug use that should have disqualified him from obtaining a US visa. The duke's admission in his book Spare of using cocaine, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms led the group to question why he was permitted entry into the US in 2020. Judge Nichols instructed the US Department of Homeland Security to make the redacted versions of the documents available no later than Tuesday, as per court filings dated March 15, reports the Express . This follows a September 2024 ruling by the same judge that the public did not have a strong interest in the disclosure of Harry's immigration records, but the Heritage Foundation sought to have the judgment altered. Despite initially rejecting the FOI request, lawyers for the Department of Homeland Security agreed in February to release redacted versions of the forms. Royal Expert and journalist Charlotte Griffiths has made it clear that the Duchess of Sussex has no plans to leave the US, and Prince Harry is committed to staying close to his children. Speaking to GB News, she said: "One thing I've heard consistently all along is that Harry will never be away from his kids. He'll do anything he can for them. Even if that marriage ended, and I'm not saying it will, he will always remain wherever the kids are. "Meghan has no intention of moving back to the UK or leaving America. So, it seems that whatever happens, he's going to try his best to be there, I guess." Legal representatives for DHS have stated that "three items will be released with redactions, but a fourth must remain private." In his tell-all book, Prince Harry revealed that cocaine "didn't do anything for me", but noted: "Marijuana is different, that actually really did help me." Donald Trump , in an interview with Nigel Farage on GB News last March, insisted that Prince Harry should not be given any special treatment, commenting: "No. We'll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they'll have to take appropriate action."
