Miley Cyrus has "something beautiful" in store.
On Monday, March 24, the 32-year-old "Flowers" hitmaker announced the release of her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful.
Set for release on May 30 via Columbia Records, the album will feature 13 original tracks and is executive-produced by Cyrus and Shawn Everett.
In the artwork for the LP the "Malibu" singer is draped in archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture as she poses before what appears to be the moon and night sky.
Something Beautiful is available for preorder here.
In a November 2024 cover story with Harper's BAZAAR, Cyrus revealed that her forthcoming album was inspired by Pink Floyd’s The Wall.
Cyrus revealed that she initially watched the classic-rock film when she was a teenager "with one of her brothers and a good friend." They "really leaned in," renting a limo, smoking weed and sporting fur coats.
"I have this heart-first attachment to it,” she said. “My idea was making The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.”
Cyrus' last album release was 2023's Endless Summer Vacation, which featured her hit single "Flowers." The song earned Cyrus two Grammys for record of the year and best pop solo performance. It was also the first song to ever reach over 100 million streams on Spotify in one week, per Variety.
Before Endless Summer Vacation, Cyrus released 2007's Meet Miley Cyrus, 2008's Breakout, 2010's Can't Be Tamed, 2013's Bangerz, 2015's Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, 2017's Younger Now and 2020's Plastic Hearts.
Since then, Cyrus collaborated with Beyoncé on the Grammy-winning track "II Most Wanted," which was featured on Cowboy Carter.
In February, Cyrus appeared at the SNL50: The Anniversary Special and performed an emotional duet of the late Sinéad O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U" with Brittany Howard.

Earlier in the night, they also performed Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" with Brittany Howard, as well as "Flowers."
During her performance, she entertained the crowd with quippy remarks and called out actor Paul Rudd.
"I love you Paul Rudd," Cyrus said, with the camera cutting to a touched Rudd.
At another point, she told the audience: "Are y'all doing that Grammys thing where you guys are famous and s--- and you don’t sing along, excuse my language?"
