Acting Minister for Education Maciu Katamotu Nalumisa yesterday signed the official appointment letters, approving the selection of seven Education Commissioners.
The Ministry of Education said this marked an important step forward for the Fiji Education Commission’s establishment, following Cabinet’s decision.
The appointed Commissioners are Dr Kesaia Seniloli, Dr Priscilla Puamau, Dr Vijay Naidu, Filipe Jitoko, Kelera Taloga, Arvind Maharaj and Dr Lavinia Tiko.
The new Fiji Education Commission is responsible for conducting a comprehensive review of the nation’s current education system, identifying strategies to enhance teaching and leadership, assessment practices, and ensuring the curriculum is relevant to the local labour market.
