Government is seeking greater insight into how visitors to the island are spending their money.
To accomplish this, the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport has established a Visitor’s Spend Task Force.
Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Ian Gooding-Edghill, says the overarching goal of the initiative is to ensure that every aspect of the visitor journey, from accommodation to dining, to cultural engagement and community experiences, translates into meaningful and widespread economic benefit.
The Minister was speaking at the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc.’s Connect Barbados 2025, being held at Wyndham Barbados.
The Minister adds the Ministry is also undertaking an Attractions Competitive Study and Road Map Report, designed to revitalise the tourism landscape and drive increased visitor engagement.
