Missing Scots student who vanished in Madrid is found after two-day search

A Scots student who went missing in Madrid two days ago has been found safe. Gregor Thomson, 21, was last seen at around 1.30am on Saturday, April 26, at a bar in the Spanish capital. He was out with rugby pals before he was separated from the group. His disappearance sparked an urgent search and social media appeal to help find the Edinburgh University student. His cousin Amy Hood tonight confirmed that Gregor has been found . She said: "He has been found safe and well. Thank you all for your concern it is much appreciated." Concerned members of the public shared their relief with his family. One commented: "Sending love to all family, I'm so pleased he is back and safe, what a relief for the family." Another said: "Amazing news. What a relief for you all." A third added: "Brilliant news."
