Star Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj, who is part of the Gujarat Titans team in IPL 2025, will face his former side Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Wednesday (April 2). The 31-year-old fast bowler from Hyderabad was not retained by the Bengaluru-based franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction despite taking 83 wickets for them in 87 IPL matches, and then he joined GT for Rs 12.25 crore. Siraj is leading GT’s bowling attack in IPL 2025, and he would like to come up with a big show against the Rajat Patidar-led side on Wednesday. On the eve of GT’s first away match of IPL 2025 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Siraj met Virat Kohli during the team’s practice session and shared a warm hug. The clip of the heartwarming interaction between Kohli and Siraj was shared on social media platforms by both GT and RCB, and within no time, the video went viral. Siraj, after making a forgetful debut for GT against Punjab Kings on March 25 in Ahmedabad, picked up two wickets in the last match played against Mumbai Indians on March 29. In the match played between MI and GT at Narendra Modi Stadium, Siraj clean bowled Rohit Sharma, and he would like to come up with a similar performance against RCB as well. However, it will be a challenge for him because RCB batters, especially the openers – Kohli and Phil Salt – are in red-hot form these days. Both Kohli and Salt scored half-centuries in RCB’s first match played against KKR at Eden Gardens on March 22, and in the second match against Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium on March 28, Salt hammered 32 runs from just 16 balls, and Kohli scored 31 runs from 30 balls.
