Féile’s mother Maureen has been keeping vigil by her daughter’s side in Crumlin children’s hospital in Dublin.
The Stand for Féile campaign has reached more than 85% of its €650,000 goal on GoFundMe.
Events and online video call-outs have been coming in from around the world to help Féile.
The highest donation so far has been for €30,000.
“Just before her 13th birthday, our amazing Féile was in a serious farm accident, changing her life in ways no child should ever have to face. She is currently hospitalised in critical condition, showing great strength and bravery,” the fundraising page said.
“In a moment, her world was turned upside down — she has suffered severe lower abdomen injuries and undergone a double leg amputation.
Anyone lucky enough to know Féile will tell you how full of life, energy, fun, kindness and what a pure messer she is.
“She adores dogs and horses. Farming is in her blood, and she loves everything about nature, outdoors, staying active.
"She’s also a true sports star — whether football, soccer, gymnastics, or anything involving movement and fun, Féile is always giving it her all, with a smile and a sparkle in her eyes. This accident hasn’t changed who she is, but has just changed what she now needs.”
The child will require intensive care for months, followed by intensive rehabilitation, and a complete adjustment to a new way of life, with mobility aids, prosthetic limbs and home adaptations.
“The emotional and financial toll is enormous,” the fundraising page said.
“Every donation — big or small — will go directly towards Féile’s care — medical treatment, specialist equipment, home adaptations, all support she’ll need now and in the years to come. Even a supportive message or sharing this page can mean the world.
Féile is a true warrior. Let’s surround her with love and strength, so she gets through this incredibly impossible journey.
An update on the fundraising page said that "our warrior Féile" had two more surgeries this week.
“Through it all, she remains her bright, bubbly self — still the teenage girl who dreams of sunshine, summer fun, and being with her friends.
“It’s now been seven weeks since the accident, and while her inpatient chart could rival the size of an encyclopedia , Féile continues to amaze everyone around her. As one of her doctors said, 'she never complains and is always so grateful — counting each surgery as one less to endure and one step closer to home.'
“Keep holding her in your hearts — every thought, every prayer, every bit of love is carrying her closer to recovery."
On Sunday, a vintage 1972-era combine harvester will work a field of oats near the village of Allihies, with the oats being auctioned for the campaign.
Co-organiser of this event Helen O’Sullivan, a local farmer, said: “I’d say we’re probably going to make history, I don’t think combine harvesters would have gone beyond Bantry really and truly before.”
She explained this is down to the rocky soil found in many areas although land is being reclaimed now.
“It was my friend’s idea, James Swanton, they set the oats there last year. He owns a vintage combine and they thought it would be great to go to Allihies where there was never a combine before,” she said.
“Then unfortunately this happened to Féile, James came up with the idea then to hold a fundraiser.”
The combine was being driven on Saturday from Bantry to Castletownbere, and on to Allihies on Sunday. A vintage tractor run is also part of the event with cars and trucks also expected to join in.
“We’re hopefully expecting a big crowd. People are being amazing. The community is very close in Beara.” Ms O’Sullivan called on people to attend if they can.
“It’s a lovely place, just beautiful,” she said. “Féile’s house is only right across the water from where the field is being cut.”
The tractor run starts at 1pm and the harvesting of the oats at 3pm. All proceeds from a food truck sale will also be donated with local fishermen and butchers donating supplies.
