The national taekwondo team clinched nine medals, including three golds, at the 6th President's Cup of the World Taekwondo Federation G3 (WTF), held from April 25 to 27 in Addis Ababa. In addition to the three gold medals, the national team secured one silver and five bronze medals at the competition, which brought together athletes from 44 countries across various continents. Farah Touzani shone in the (-49 kg) category, winning gold after defeating an Algerian champion residing in France 2–0. The second gold was claimed by Oumaima Boumah (-73 kg), who overcame the champion from Côte d'Ivoire with a 2–0 victory. Oumaima Boucheta (-53 kg) captured the third gold, defeating the Egyptian champion 2–0. Meanwhile, Meriem Khoulal earned a silver medal in the (-57 kg) category after falling to the Olympic champion from Tunisia. The five bronze medals were won by Nezha Assal (-49 kg), Khadija Lemdardar (-73 kg), Haytam Zarghouti (-80 kg), Ahmed Rahali (-87 kg), and Zakaria Lakouir (87 kg). The Moroccan team delivered a commendable performance at this event, where gold medalists earn 30 points toward their world rankings. Speaking to MAP, the first vice-president of the Royal Moroccan Taekwondo Federation (FRMTKD), Hassan Ismaili, described the team's performance as an unprecedented achievement. «This is an unprecedented result in the history of Moroccan participation in the President’s Cups of the World Taekwondo Federation», he emphasized, noting that the Moroccan athletes competed against world champions «under challenging conditions and still managed to win nine medals: three gold, one silver, and five bronze». Ismaili attributed the success to the extensive efforts of the technical staff under the guidance of national coaches, supported by a selection strategy that combined promising young talents with seasoned athletes. He also praised the joint efforts of the Federation, regional leagues, and coaches, which, he said, greatly contributed to this historic accomplishment.
