Makkah Al-Mukarramah, July 27 (QNA) - The Muslim World League (MWL) has expressed strong hope for the high-level international conference aimed at peacefully resolving the Palestinian issue through the implementation of the two-state solution, which is being co-hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France.
In a press release issued today, MWL Secretary-General Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa said the historic conference, taking place this week at the United Nations Headquarters in New York with broad international participation, revives hope for reactivating the peace process based on the firm resolutions of international legitimacy and the historical and legal rights of the Palestinian people. He affirmed that this path remains the only viable route toward achieving a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in the region.
Dr. Al-Issa emphasized that the international community bears a historic responsibility at this pivotal moment to address the prolonged suffering of the Palestinian people. He urged all nations to seize the opportunity presented by the conference to stand on the right side of history by adopting a principled and responsible stance in support of justice, international legitimacy, and an end to this painful humanitarian tragedy and its grave repercussions on the region and the wider world.
The Secretary-General reaffirmed the just nature of the Palestinian cause and its centrality to the collective conscience of the Arab and Islamic worlds, as well as all people of moral integrity, anchored in undeniable historical and legal truths. (QNA)
