Here’s how it works. (Image credit: Tom's Guide / Lucy Scotting) If you've been shopping for the best kitchen appliances, chances are you've heard of Ninja Kitchen. From practical kitchen necessities, like blenders and air fryers, to novelty appliances, like the infamous Creami, Ninja has it all. I'll be honest here and say that I'm a bit of a fan when it comes to Ninja Kitchen products. From owning a Ninja bullet blender a decade ago to nabbing the Ninja Creami during the previous Amazon Prime Day, I am easily intrigued by the brand and its kitchen gizmos. The one appliance that actually caught my eye many years ago, and that I am now the proud owner of, is the Ninja Slushi. Dubbed "the professional frozen drink maker", this slushy machine racked up a 50k waitlist before releasing in Australia in February this year, and proceeded to sell out within minutes. Globally, the Slushi was a hit too, becoming a viral product seen in social media videos. Right now, for the EOFY sales, the Ninja Slushi has dropped to a new low, just months after its release. Now down to just AU$399 on Amazon, you'll save a massive 33% off the coveted machine — and nab it with plenty of time to prepare your finest frozen cocktail recipes for hotter months to reappear. You'll need to act fast if I were you — stocks are strictly available while supplies last. Save 33%Ninja Slushi: was AU$599 now AU$399 at Amazon It's worth noting that Amazon's RRP is slightly higher than competitors', but this 33% discount brings it down to a nice AU$399, which is the cheapest we've seen so far for the machine. The Ninja Slushi turns liquids into smooth frozen drinks by using specialised RapidChill technology, so you don't need ice. Also available at: • JB Hi-Fi for AU$499 • The Good Guys for AU$499.99 I was able to get my hands on the Ninja Slushi when it became available in Australia earlier this year. Without a doubt, I had plenty of fun testing and churning concoctions in the vessel. The machine has different temperature and texture controls that churn beverages in up to 60 minutes at max capacity, with five preset settings — Slush, Spiked Slush, Frappé, Milkshake, and Frozen Juice. Hands down, my favourite recipe I've made in my time with the Ninja Slushi would be a frozen Pina Colada. The slush wasn't too icy and was perfectly delicious on a warm day. As with my testing, I found that every recipe I tried called for a different level of customisation. What I mean by this is that the presets on the device need to be adjusted per recipe. While most frozen drink mixes will slush properly with the preferred preset, some beverages may need temperature settings to be a little higher for the drink to slushify completely or in the case of too much iciness, it will need to freeze less. If you're happy to play around with the Slushi (like I did) and find the best temperature, you'll be whipping up the perfect frozen bevvy every time. After some trial and error that comes with having a new kitchen appliance, if you're a frozen drink aficionado, you're sure to get a kick out of this slushy machine.
