Narendra Modi says India has only ‘suspended’ military action against Pakistan – video
India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi, has said his country would not tolerate nuclear blackmail from Pakistan and ‘will strike precisely and decisively at the terrorist hideouts’. Addressing his country for the first time, Modi said India had only suspended military action against its neighbour, adding that New Delhi ‘will measure every step of Pakistan’ and respond in kind.
Modi was speaking days after the nuclear-armed neighbours initiated armed action against one another, exchanging missiles and airstrikes. A ceasefire was agreed following US mediation
