Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan, the celebrated couple who welcomed their twin sons, Uyir and Ulag, via surrogacy in September 2022, continue to share adorable glimpses of their little ones with their fans. Time and again, they leave their followers in awe of their munchkins’ cute antics, and recently the actress captured a picture-perfect moment of her children witnessing their very first rainbow.
On April 29, she took to her official social media handle and dropped the touching image featuring her children, Uyir and Ulag. The picture beautifully captures the twins seemingly in awe of the colourful arc in the sky, a truly special moment for any child.
Capturing the innocent look of the children, Nayanthara mentioned that it’s always the little things of children that every parent loves to cherish. She captioned it, “First RAINBOW. It’s the little things, always!”

Meanwhile, the actress was recently spotted in Mumbai as she arrived for the shooting schedule of her upcoming film Toxic. Nayanthara was papped at the airport, protectively shielding her children from the media attention. The Jawan actress landed in the city in a comfortable black athleisure outfit, while her twins sported bright yellow ensembles.
Speaking about Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, the gangster period drama is slated for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026. The upcoming movie, directed by Geetu Mohandas, will see Nayanthara sharing the screen with Kannada superstar Yash. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Achyuth Kumar and Akshay Oberoi, among others.
It is worth noting that the film is being simultaneously produced in Kannada and English, and marks Yash’s next big project following the success of the KGF franchise.
On the cinematic front, Nayanthara most recently starred in the sports thriller Test. The S Sashikanth directorial explored the intertwined lives of three individuals within the world of cricket. The film, also starring Siddharth and R Madhavan, was released directly on Netflix and received mixed reviews, with some criticising its screenplay.
Looking ahead, Nayanthara has a busy slate of upcoming projects, including Dear Students, Mannangatti Since 1960, Sundar C’s directorial Mookuthi Amman 2, and a film tentatively titled MMMN alongside Mammootty and Mohanlal.
