The streaming service has plenty to offer, from 'criminally overlooked' TV shows to 'incredibly moving' short movies. But if you're currently lacking binge-watch inspiration, then read on. This eight-part TV series is not only gripping, but has a 'beautifully unique' ending viewers can't stop talking about. Better yet, the show has clocked up a 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes score across 24 critics' reviews. The series is set across two countries, England and Japan, with the action unfolding across their capitals, London and Tokyo. It was first broadcast on the BBC in 2019 before joining Netflix the following year. Since joining the streamer, it has been watched for more than 8.3 million hours, according to FlixPatrol. The show follows Tokyo detective Kenzo Mori (Takehiro Hira), who is dispatched to London to investigate the apparent murder of Saburō Endo - nephew of Yakuza boss Fukuhara. Kenzo’s younger brother Yuto (Yōsuke Kubozuka), who was long thought dead, is the prime suspect. As Kenzo navigates the unfamiliar alleys of London’s underworld, he teams up with DC Sarah Weitzmann (Kelly Macdonald) and crosses paths with Rodney Yamaguchi (Will Sharpe), a half-Japanese rent boy whose knowledge of the city’s criminal fringes proves invaluable. Caught between loyalty to his family in Tokyo and the pursuit of truth, Kenzo must uncover whether Yuto is guilty or just a pawn in a larger scheme that could ignite a gang war back home. The mini-series, made up of eight episodes, was brought up during a recent Reddit discussion.
