190 plants seized in raid

A raid conducted in Vacalea Village, Kadavu, resulted in the seizure of about 190 plants believed to be marijuana.
Police spokeswoman Savaira Tabua said the owner of the farm had not been identified yet.
According to police, the plants uprooted ranged from 0.20cm to 2.90m.
Meanwhile, police said three youths from the village were warned after threatening families who had assisted the officers.
Ms Tabua said awareness on drugs was also conducted for the villagers of Vacalea after a request from their village headman.
