Fuel and LPG price increases from tomorrow

Consumers can expect to pay extra for gas and certain fuel prices from tomorrow.
According to a statement from the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) today, it had determined the new regulated prices of unleaded petrol, premix, kerosene, diesel and LPG for July 2020.
The commission stated the new fuel prices and LPG prices came into effect from Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
Retail fuel prices for Motor Spirit increased $0.18 cents a litre from $1.66 to $1.84/litre.
Premix increased by 18 cents a litre from $1.29 to $1.47/litre.
Diesel saw a decrease of $0.02 cents, from $1.54 to $1.52 a litre whereas kerosene remained the same at $0.91 a litre.
All LPG prices increases from tomorrow.
The price for a 4.5kg cylinder went from $11.03 to $11.86, an increase of $0.83 cents.
The 12kg cylinder increased from $29.41 to $31.64, an increase of $2.23.
The 13kg cylinder increased from $31.86 to $34.28, an increase of $2.42.
Bulk gas increased from $2.026 to $2.16, an increase of $0.13 cents a kg; and Autogas also increased from $1.36 to $1.45 – a difference of $0.09 cents a litre.
According to the FCCC, the fuel and LPG price review implemented followed a one-month lag period.
The July 2020 fuel and LPG regulated prices is based on the importations made in May 2020 by the fuel and LPG companies in Fiji.
