TMZ initially reported that Elway's longtime agent, Jeff Sperbeck, was on life support after falling off the back of a golf cart on Saturday afternoon. On Tuesday, the outlet reported that the legendary quarterback was the one operating the vehicle, which the friends and their wives were on after attending the Stagecoach music festival earlier in the day. Cops reportedly did not respond to the scene, and Elway is not being accused of any wrongdoing at this time. The Daily Mail has reached out to Elway and Sperbeck's wine company, 7Cellars, for confirmation. Sperbeck is said to suffered the severe injury when he fell off the back of the moving vehicle, rolled and hit his head on asphalt. The group was reportedly leaving a Stagecoach after-party when the accident occurred in La, Quinta, California. The medics arrived to find Sperbeck unconscious but still breathing, TMZ said. He was brought to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, though the outlet has described his prognosis in extremely negative fashion. Doctors have reportedly informed Sperbeck's family that there is 'no hope' he will recover. The pair worked together during Elway's Hall of Fame career as Sperbeck managed his business affairs. They went on to form wine company 7Cellars together in 2013.
