No. 11 Pingry defeats Bernards in high scoring battle - Girls lacrosse recap

Ava Kirkwood scored four goals to guide top-seeded Pingry, No. 11 in the NJ.com Top 20, to a 13-8 victory over fourth-seeded Bernards in the semifinals of the Somerset County Tournament in Martinsville.
Pingry led 11-6 after the third quarter before adding two goals in the fourth.
Siena Casale, Sydney Ellsworth, Chloe Huang and Becca Kirschner each added two goals.
Alexa Paterno, Kendall Schmerler and Mia DeRosa led Bernards with two goals each.
Pingry (16-2) extended its winning streak to four games and will host second-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan in the championship round of the Somerset County Tournament on Saturday, while Bernards (10-5) has its three-game winning streak snapped and will visit West Morris on Saturday.
