NORTH ADAMS — Drury High School has named Colin Daly as valedictorian and Atlas Lescarbeau as salutatorian for the Class of 2025. The graduation ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 5, in the school auditorium.
Daly, the son of Anthony and Shelley Daly of North Adams, will graduate with a GPA of 4.6. He has completed eight college courses through the MCLA Early College Program and has been inducted into both the Nu Sigma and Pro Merito Honor Societies. He was awarded the RPI Medal of Distinction during his junior year and received the Principal’s Award for having the one of the top five averages in his class for four years.
Daly has been an integral part of the boys' soccer and basketball teams and serves as a Student Ambassador. He has been an altar server at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish for the past nine years, and has maintained a part-time job throughout high school.
He will be attending Thomas Aquinas College in the fall with plans to major in engineering.
Lescarbeau, the son of Louis Lescarbeau and Angel Lescarbeau of North Adams, has pursued a rigorous course of studies including Advanced Placement courses and several early college courses at Drury and MCLA. He was inducted to Drury' s Nu Sigma Honor Society in his junior year and Pro Merito Honor Society in his senior year for maintaining a high GPA.
A trumpet player with Drury’s band since seventh grade, Lescarbeau has performed in Drury's School of Rock, marching band and chorus/jazz band, and also played trumpet for one of Bennington’s theater productions in his senior year.
In the community, he has been a member of the Community Intergenerational Action Orchestra since seventh grade and has been a part of Kids for Harmony since sixth grade.
In addition to taking art classes, Lescarbeau assisted backstage for Drury’s theater program in ninth grade and went on to perform in several productions through his senior year. During his junior year, he was a teen activator at Mass MoCA.
Lescarbeau will be attending St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt., where he will major in theater.
