NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio -- The Saturday Concert Series is on the move. After two successful summers at Community Park, which is currently undergoing a major renovation, the city recently announced the popular summertime affair this year will be located out of Barton Bradley Park. “We’re going to utilize that site for our concerts,” North Olmsted Director of Recreation & Public Engagement Tim Pinchek said. “We’ve been successful having the Gaelic Games over there before. “Also, the soccer association runs all the soccer games and practices, so it’s definitely a site that can accommodate our concerts. It’s just going to be temporary until Community Park reopens in 2026 after the renovation.” North Olmsted’s 2025 Saturday Concert Series includes Jam Machine (June 7), Billy Likes Soda (June 28), Country Honk (July 19) and Pet The Cougar (Aug. 9). All shows take place from 6 to 9 p.m. While Pinchek said the location of the concert stage hasn’t been confirmed, more than likely it will be centrally located and facing south. Speaking of park renovations, Barton Bradley Park is scheduled to receive an estimated $440,000 parking lot upgrade that the director of recreation & public engagement said will start in the middle of June and finish by the end of July. “As far as parking, it’ll affect the June 28 and July 19 concert,” he said. “But there will still be plenty of parking for people to use. You’re probably looking at 200-plus spots.” Initially, the city did consider hosting the Saturday Concert Series at North Olmsted High School but that would have meant the inability to sell alcohol as a fundraiser at the shows. The cost of the musical series is roughly $20,000, which is coming out of the recreation fund. “We’ve grown in attendance to between 750 and 1,000 people per concert,” he said. “While we’re expecting about the same this year, next year -- obviously when we open the park -- we’ll increase our concerts as far as performances.” Read more news from the Sun Post Herald here.
