I've worked in hot conditions for a long time, starting in the heat wave that killed like 700 people in Chicago. Most places had water, but there were situations where I had to bring my own. So why is it they are supposed to have costs, with no payment for services? So mail carriers, police officers, fire, doctors, teachers, nurses, there's a lot of essential workers we celebrated, as the woman referenced. Do all of them just get free services from Starbucks in particular? Is that supposed to be a CODB for coffee chains? Does that also apply to gas stations, if someone is out of gas and it's 100 degrees, but they're a mail carrier, do they also get free gas? I'm all for society making sure everyone has shelter, food, clean water, health care, education, etc in abundance.
