Try: Cook winds back the clock
The Dragons first real attacking chance of the night doesn’t look like much. Until it does. And Damien Cook, he looks 10 years younger as he latches onto a late Jaydn Su’A offload and takes off.
A couple of light steps, three or four defenders beaten and Cook is over from 30 metres out. Fantastic stuff. Unless you’re in charge of Cronulla’s defence. Dragons on the board. Kyle Flanagan converts, even stevens again.

Try: Brailey sets up Cronulla’s first
Try time. Blayke Brailey with the break from dummy-half, into the back-field before finding Braydon Trindall in support.
Trindall had work to do, but he did it well and got there for a 6-0 lead. Brailey’s three or four runs inside the first 10 minutes will please our very own resident Immortal Andrew Johns. Joey picked the No.9’s involvement as key to getting Cronulla’s mojo back in his weekly column. See, sometimes we do know what we’re talking about.

No try: Mulitalo costs Cronulla points
We’ve got our first try, and first bunker involvement to take it off Mawene Hiroti.
The Sharks centre finished off a simple four-pointer from a kick, but it was always going to be taken off Cronulla given Ronaldo Mulitalo blatantly bumped Kyle Flanagan out of contesting for the ball. All square it stays.

Sharks attack questioned early
An early run at the line from Nicho Hynes and good start for the Sharks with a strong kick chase afterwards.
Cronulla with the better of the early field position, both Hynes and Braydon Trindall able to launch attacking kicks.
But the Sharks support play is being questioned early, Andrew Johns not impressed with a lack of support options for Ronaldo Mulitalo when he stood in a tackle - when they’re at their best, this is not an issue, it’s a real strength.

Milestone man: 150 for Briton Nikora
Teams: Dragons debut youngster, Rudolf returns
Teams are in and we’ve got some changes. Ronaldo Mulitalo makes a timely return from suspension (we knew that one), and Daniel Atkinson drops off Cronulla’s bench against his future side (he’ll join the Dragons next year on around $500,000-a-year). Toby Rudolf comes back in from an ankle injury for his first game since round seven.

The Dragons are as named earlier in the week except for the debut of centre Nicholas Tsougranis in jersey No.21, he’s in given Val Holmes is in Queensland camp.

Welcome one, welcome all
Evening sports fans,
We’re coming to you live and loud from the Shire as Cronulla hosts St George Illawarra in a something of a desperation stakes local derby. Both sides were belted last weekend and deservedly so, but someone’s got to win this thing, right?

So, who have you got? Nicho Hynes and a Sharks side trying to find their defensive mojo? Or Clint Gutherson’s Dragons, in need of some serious spark in the halves?
We’ll have kick-off at 7.50pm AEST, teams and whatnot beforehand.
