You can find them here: ForbesNYT ‘Connections’ Hints And Answers For Saturday, March 29By Kris Holt Hey, gang! I hope you’re having a restful and/or fun weekend. I’m going to make a conscious effort in the coming months to try to meet more people. I have a very small IRL social sphere and I’d like to expand that. Making friends and learning about their lives and interests and opinions and values is one of the greatest opportunities afforded to us as humans. That’s a gift that I’ve been somewhat neglecting. Attempting to correct that will help push me out of my bubble. I mentioned the other day that I’m an introvert and I enjoy my own company, but I don’t want to spend all day cooped up at home by myself either. Here’s to new friends and adventures! Before we begin, I’ve set up a discussion group for NYT Connections and this column on Discord. We have a great little community over there and we chat about more than NYT games. Everyone who has joined has been lovely. It’s a fun hangout spot. It’s also the best way to give me any feedback about the column, especially on the rare(!) occasions that I mess something up since I don’t look at the comments or Twitter much. Today’s NYT Connections hints and answers for Sunday, March 30, are coming right up. Play Puzzles & Games on Forbes FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder How To Play Connections Connections is a free, popular New York Times daily word game. You get a new puzzle at midnight every day. You can play on the NYT website or Games app. You’re presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to arrange them into four groups of four by figuring out the links between them. The groups could be things like items you can click, names for research study participants or words preceded by a body part. There’s only one solution for each puzzle, and you’ll need to be careful when it comes to words that might fit into more than one category. You can shuffle the words to perhaps help you see links between them. Each group is color coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to figure out, blue and green fall in the middle, and the purple group is usually the most difficult one. The purple group often involves wordplay. Select four words you think go together and press Submit. If you make a guess and you’re incorrect, you’ll lose a life. If you’re close to having a correct group, you might see a message telling you that you’re one word away from getting it right, but you’ll still need to figure out which one to swap. If you make four mistakes, it’s game over. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen with the help of some hints, and, if you’re really struggling, today’s Connections answers. As with Wordle and other similar games, it’s easy to share results with your friends on social media and group chats. If you have an NYT All Access or Games subscription, you can access the publication’s Connections archive. This includes every previous game of Connections, so you can go back and play any of those that you have missed. Yellow group — average Green group — pictured on the U.S. Great Seal Blue group — proper nouns in Broadway musical titles that are spoken phrases Purple group — ____man What Are Today’s Connections Answers? Spoiler alert! Don’t scroll any further down the page until you’re ready to find out today’s Connections answers. This is your final warning! Today’s Connections answers are... Yellow group — average (MEAN, NORM, PAR, STANDARD) Green group — pictured on the U.S. Great Seal (ARROWS, EAGLE, OLIVE BRANCH, SHIELD) Blue group — proper nouns in Broadway musical titles that are spoken phrases (BIRDIE, DOLLY, KATE, YANKEES) Purple group — ____man (BOGEY, CRAFTS, GENTLE, SPOKES) Friends, I have a new personal best streak of 33 wins! No perfect game today, but I don't mind. Here's how I fared: The trap was laid, and I walked right into it. EAGLE, BIRDIE, BOGEY and PAR – all scores in a hole of golf – were not a group. They didn't even put me one away from a group. Ack! I then thought EAGLE, YANKEES, SHIELD and OLIVE BRANCH might be American symbols. It felt like a bit of a random guess, but, hey, I was one away from a group! Still, I put that aside momentarily to focus my attention elsewhere. After I few minutes, I finally spotted the yellows. I was finally cooking. I then took a gamble. I felt like my hunch about the American symbols was pretty close. YANKEES felt like the misnomer there. So I swapped that out for ARROWS and, whaddyaknow? I had the greens. Nice. I got a bit lucky there. For the uninitiated (i.e. me), this is the Great Seal: Official Seal of the United States of America. Bettmann Archive On the smaller grid, GENTLE and SPOKES drew my eye. I realized they were linked by -MAN. BOGEYman (or boogeyman) made sense and CRAFTS was the only other wan that fit. Slightly tenuous group there. That left the blues for the win. I had a sense that BIRDIE might have something to do with Bye Bye Birdie, but I didn't see what would go with it. The other blues refer to Hello, Dolly (though Dolly: An Original Musical, which is about Dolly Parton, will premiere in Nashville this year and hit Broadway in 2026), Kiss Me, Kate and Damn Yankees. That’s all there is to it for today’s Connections clues and answers. Be sure to check my blog tomorrow for hints and the solution for Monday’s game if you need them. P.S. I can think of one other great Seal, who has a pretty perfect song for a laidback Sunday: P.P.S. I genuinely like Batman Forever (this song appears on the soundtrack of that film) and Batman and Robin. I have a soft spot for both as I loved them as a kid. I am not ashamed all about this fac. There’s no such thing as a guilty pleasure. Have a great day! Stay hydrated! Call someone you love!
