Oasis fever is taking over the city of Cardiff as the Gallagher brothers take over the Principality Stadium for the first in a series of huge reunion shows this summer. The Oasis Live '25 opening shows will take place at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on July 4 an 5 and ticket holders are on official countdown and the Britpop legends prepare to take to the stage. They'll then head to Manchester's Heaton Park for five massive homecoming shows, before stopping off in London, Edinburgh and Dublin. Oasis will then expand their tour globally with dates in Chicago, Mexico, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney, and Sao Paulo. Their debut album 'Definitely Maybe' went straight to number one on the UK album charts and became the fastest-selling debut record at the time. It also earned Oasis the best British newcomer award at the 1995 Brit Awards. Fans attention will now turn towards their plans if they're heading to any of the shows, especially if they've bagged seats for either of the Cardiff gigs. As well as set times for Oasis and their support acts Cast and Richard Ashcroft to consider, many will be planning their journeys, and for those heading to the Welsh capital, it's worth being aware of the road closures set to be in place. Last week, Cardiff Council confirmed when roads around the Principality Stadium would close as major music artists perform at the home of Welsh rugby. A series of concerts will be held at the stadium from July 4 to August 1 including Oasis, Stereophonics, Kendrick Lamar and Catfish and the Bottlemen. For Oasis' two shows, roads will close from 12 noon until midnight and anyone attending is strongly advised to plan their journey in advance and get into Cardiff early. From 7am, Scott Road and Park Street will be closed because of the need to prepare gate five and protect queuing fans. Then, from 3pm to midnight these roads will be closed: Civic centre Access to part of the civic centre will be controlled throughout the day, with access allowed only for event parking, limited commuter parking, loading and access to private car parks. Roads affected include: King Edward VII Avenue, Museum Avenue, City Hall Road, College Road and Gorsedd Gardens Road.
