In one of the biggest events of the year, the Oasis reunion tour is just around the corner, with the iconic brothers gearing up to head across the UK and Ireland for some big summer dates. Noel is reportedly already deep into rehearsals as the band brushes up on some of their classics , with Liam soon to join after leaving his voice to rest through April. When tickets first went on sale back in August last year, it caused a frenzy among fans, with some spending 10 hours stuck in online queues before the 19 events across the UK and Ireland eventually sold out that same day. The brothers will be back on stage for the first time in 16 years hitting some of the biggest venues in the nation including five dates at Heaton Park in Manchester and seven at Britain's biggest stadium, Wembley. The iconic 90s duo have sold more than 75 million records worldwide and became front-men to the Brit Pop movement that spread across the world - a far cry from the humble beginnings playing the Boardwalk Club in Manchester in the early 90s. General sale tickets have long been sold out with any fans still wanting to catch a glimpse of the Gallagher's live now having to rely on resales with prices now a t least double the original face value price. Richard Ashcroft, the former lead singer of The Verve, has been announced as the official support, while indie band Cast will open the shows across the UK and Ireland as they play in stadiums and outdoor shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Dublin and Edinburgh in the summer. In a statement, the band said: "The line-up is now completed with the news that Cast will open at all nineteen instantly sold-out shows." Alongside dates in Manchester and London, the band will begin the tour in Wales' national rugby ground the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, formerly the Millennium Stadium. The UK's fourth biggest stadium which holds a staggering 74,000 people. Oasis will then have a homecoming with five dates in Heaton Park before heading down to London for five shows at Wembley Stadium. The brothers will then make their way up to the home of Scottish rugby as they play three nights at Murrayfield in Edinburgh before a trip across the Irish Sea for two dates at the 82,000 seater Croke Park in Dublin. After a non-stop six weeks the Gallagher's will then take their shows abroad for two shows in Toronto, Canada before heading to America. In the U.S., the band will play one date in Chicago, two in East Rutherford, and two in Pasadena before going even further south for two nights in Mexico City.
