Oregon’s Katie Flannery named Big Ten softball player of the week

Oregon has its first Big Ten softball player of the week.
Sophomore infielder Katie Flannery, who hit .692 with four home runs and 12 RBIs in a series win at Washington plus a win over Abilene Christian, earned the program’s first ever Big Ten player of the week honor on Monday.
Flannery was 9 for 13 with a double, triple, and four homers, scored nine runs and had a 1.846 slugging percentage against the Huskies.
She is the fifth UO player to be recognized by the conference this season.
