Seventeen professionals have completed Outsource Fiji’s Leading for Impact programme.
It is a six-week leadership training aimed at strengthening Fiji’s outsourcing sector.
The successful participants proudly graduated at the Outsource Fiji foyer in Suva on Wedneasday.
The programme, delivered by Bula Outsourcing Fiji Limited, focused on building team leadership, communication, and management skills. Of the 17 graduates 14 were women.
Outsource Fiji president Morika Hunter said the course was designed to be flexible for the 24/7 industry and was already showing results.
“Graduates now return to their teams better equipped to lead, coach, and drive performance,” she said.
Chief executive Josefa Wivou said the initiative was the first of up to 15 leadership programmes planned under Outsource Fiji’s 2025–2029 strategy, focused on workforce development, industry growth, and inclusion.
Among the graduates is Shynal Chand, a call centre manager. She said the training changed her approach.
“I now lead with empathy and better understand my team’s needs,” she said.
Outsource Fiji is also working with partners to support women, young parents, and people with disabilities in the workforce.
Surveys and assessments are underway to identify needs such as childcare, accessibility, and inclusive hiring.
With the outsourcing sector expanding rapidly, especially in AI and KPO services, leaders said training programmes like this were essential to building a skilled, resilient local workforce.
