As a final nod to another incredible winter sports season, we gave past Flint-area Athlete of the Week runners-up another shot at some recognition for their standout performances during the season. Owosso junior guard Danica Dwyer made the most of it, running away with 94% of the vote as she racked up 2,858 votes over the week. Dwyer initially finished runner-up back on our Jan. 6-12 poll when she had 31 points and six steals as Owosso earned a 41-31 win over Lake Fenton on Jan. 7.
