PACIFIC Industries Limited (PIL), through its globally recognised Pepsi brand, is proud to announce the renewal of its Platinum naming rights sponsorship with Capital Rugby Union (CRU) for the 2025 season.
Valued at K250,000, this renewed commitment reaffirms Pacific Industries’ continued support for the growth and development of rugby union in PNG. Now entering its second year as sponsor, Pepsi’s support plays a critical role in CRU’s ability to run competitive and inclusive rugby competitions, while promoting youth development and community participation.
Pacific Industries Limited CEO Everett Chue said: “We’re proud to renew our commitment to Capital Rugby Union through our Pepsi brand. “Rugby is a powerful force for unity and development in PNG.
“Supporting CRU aligns with our mission to empower local talent, invest in community initiatives, and to promote healthy, active lifestyles.”
As part of the sponsorship, Pepsi will maintain prominent branding rights across all CRU fixtures, media, and merchandise.
CRU general manager Eddie Galele expressed his appreciation for the continued partnership. He said Pepsi has been a strong and reliable partner, and CRU is more than grateful to have them on board again. This sponsorship provides essential resources that enable us to grow the game, invest in our clubs, and foster talent from the grassroots up, he said.
The partnership reinforces Pacific Industries’ commitment to building strong, sustainable relationships with the communities it serves, through sport, culture, and shared experiences.
