Coming into moving day at The Masters, the storyline was a stacked leaderboard with 36 holes to go. Within about 30 minutes, Rory McIlroy stole the headlines and put a stranglehold on the one major that he is yet to win.McIlroy started his round with a remarkable chip-in eagle to jump into the lead after three holes. He followed that up with another birdie on the difficult par-4 fifth hole to get some cushion at the top of the leaderboard.In fact, McIlroy became the first player in the history of The Masters to start his round with six consecutive threes on the scorecard. However, his third shot on the seventh hole is what was impressive to some of the experts.PGA Tour pro Billy Horschel shouted out McIlroy's chip on the seventh hole, which helped him save a par after an errant approach."The chip Rory just hit on 7 was so good," Horschel wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "Few ppl understand how tough that chip was to get to a tap in. Easy to leave 10 feet short or hit it past and have 25 feet."The pin on No. 7 was a very difficult one, with the green sloping off heavily on either side of the hole and a big bunker just in front of it. From the left side of the green, McIlroy got a chip to softly stop just a few feet from the hole.The four-time major champ struggled in the middle of his round after a blazing start, making bogeys on Nos. 8 and 10 to drop back closer to the pack. However, he hadn't had his best moment of the day yet.After a great drive on the par-5 15th, McIlroy striped a six iron from just outside 200 yards right into the middle of the green, setting up an eagle to open up a four-shot lead.The Northern Irishman is clearly the favorite to wear the Green Jacket now, and flashy shots like his on Nos. 2 and 15 are a big reason why.
