@Source: newsweek.com
Just days after Dean Burmester's dramatic playoff win at LIV Golf Chicago, the league has rolled into The Club at Chatham Hills for its regular-season finale in Indianapolis.Round 1 teed off Friday at 12:05 p.m. ET, and while Sebastian Munoz stole the spotlight with a record-breaking 12-under 59, it was Phil Mickelson who delivered the most unforgettable moment of the day, going barefoot.On the par-5 seventh hole, Mickelson's third shot drifted toward the water's edge. But rather than take a penalty drop, the six-time major winner opted for the risk.Lefty removed his shoe, rolled up his pants, and stepped into the water with his left foot submerged. It was that moment Mickelson stole the show by chipping the ball 13 yards onto the green.The crowd erupted."He just never ceases to amaze!" commented the broadcasting table as heard in the video posted by Nuclr Golf on X. The shot was clean with a bold recovery, just like a pure Mickelson moment.The shot saved Mickelson a par on the hole. Later in the day, he carded four more birdies on the back nine to finish his round with a 4-under 67. This placed Lefty in a tie for 12th alongside Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Ben Campbell and eight others.Day 2 at LIV Golf Indianapolis tees off with Torque GC's Sebastian Munoz atop the leaderboard, following his jaw-dropping 12-under 59, a historic round that included a double bogey, the first of its kind in LIV Golf history.Dustin Johnson began Saturday at 9-under, just three shots back, while Joaquin Niemann entered tied for third at 7-under alongside Thomas Pieters, Patrick Reed, and Cameron Smith, all within striking distance as the weekend pressure builds.More Golf: Bryson DeChambeau's LIV Golf Status Sidelines Him From Ryder Cup Warm-Up
