Pilani Public School (PPS) was inaugurated on the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) campus, here on Wednesday.
Special Olympics Bharat chairperson Mallika Nadda and AMTZ founder CEO and MD Jitendra Sharma attended the event.
The school offers students exposure to real-world science, technology and entrepreneurship from a young age, Mr. Sharma said.
He said that the school would serve as a fountainhead of future scientists, engineers, artists, sportspersons and change-makers who will someday contribute to India’s healthcare transformation.
This world class school will not only serve the children of the Medtech zone employees but also the entire industrial cluster, he added.
The new Visakhapatnam branch continues its legacy with the state-of-the-art infrastructure, modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, a swimming pool, and expansive sporting facilities including horse riding, cricket, football, volleyball, and basketball courts.
Ms. Mallika Nadda lauded the initiative, calling it “a visionary model that blends education, physical well-being, and innovation,” and emphasised the role of such institutions in nurturing responsible and globally aware citizens.
A landmark in the school’s journey was the delegation’s invitation to Rashtrapati Bhavan in August 2023, where students interacted with the President of India.
