Rain, rain and more rain – but at least there’s no threat of golf-ball sized hail or tornadoes in the Portland area forecast. Instead, cool temperatures and rain will persist Saturday with a possible break in the showers and a slightly warmer forecast on Sunday. A “broad area of low pressure” will take the Portland area back to colder temperatures through the next week with snow possible in the Cascades. Saturday’s high temperature is expected around 57 degrees with a low of 41 and winds out of the south southwest between 3 and 7 miles per hour. Sunday could reach 63 degrees with a low of 44 and winds ranging between 5 and 9 mph with possible gusts as high as 18 mph in the afternoon.
