Premier League season ticket prices as Liverpool show Man Utd and Arsenal how it’s done
@Source: dailystar.co.uk
The most expensive season tickets in the Premier League for the 2025/26 season have been revealed. Premier League action returns in a matter of weeks , and depending on what team you support, that could either be met by excitement or dread. But some fans may find themselves priced out of going to watch their teams following the latest round of ticket prices. Top-flight clubs continue to be boosted by the lucrative broadcasting deal, with gate receipts no longer what keeps clubs above water. But since Covid-19, the cost of tickets has been rising, none more so than at Old Trafford, where a flat rate of £66 per ticket, with no concession discounts, was introduced from £40 midway through last season. However, United do not have the highest season ticket cost. Instead, it’s West London outfit Fulham who lead the way at a staggering £3,084 – a rise of £84 from last season, according to The Athletic . The Cottagers’ new cost is £861 more than the second most expensive ticket in the top-flight at Tottenham . Spurs ’ most costly season ticket is £2,223. While North London rivals Arsenal are third with a £1,726 season ticket. Meanwhile United are seventh in the list, with a five per cent rise to £1,121 to watch Ruben Amorim’s side attempt to fight back from a 15th-place finish last season. The costliest Old Trafford seat is still cheaper than West Ham (£1720), Manchester City (£1,600) and Bournemouth (£1,164). United CEO Omar Berrada insisted that the price hike is to “offset the continued rises in operating costs”. He said: "We appreciate the loyal and patient support of our fans, and particularly our Season-Ticket holders who represent the core of our match-going support base. "We understand the importance of their backing for the team and have worked hard to come up with a pricing package that is fair and reasonable. "After 11 consecutive years of price freezes, we increased prices by five per cent for the past two seasons and intend to do the same for next season to offset continued rises in operating costs." However, season ticket prices in nearby Merseyside are significantly cheaper, with Liverpool’s most expensive seat costing £904 to watch Arne Slot’s side’s title defence. While neighbours Everton charge £900 to sit in the priciest seat in their maiden campaign in the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Newly-promoted Burnley offer by far the cheapest ticket at £525 – working out at £27.63 per Premier League match compared to £162.31 per game at Fulham. Other notable prices see Club World Cup champions Chelsea charge £1,095 for their most valuable seat. Newcastle have set their most expensive seat at £940 as Eddie Howe’s side look to qualify for the Champions League again. While Championship winners Leeds United are the fourth lowest priced at £870.
