The streaming service has already offered subscribers several action-comedies this year, which have ranged in quality. The summer brought us the thoroughly entertaining improv caper, "Deep Cover," but it also served up "The Pickup." However, seeing as "Play Dirty" was directed by Shane Black — who has helmed, among other things, "The Nice Guys" and "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" — I'm confident it'll be worth the wait. If you like your scores big, and you crime capers with a comedic edge, it seems like this Mark Wahlberg-led crime thriller belongs on your radar. And if you want plenty of action, this isn't just a taste of the banter between Mark Wahlberg, LaKeith Stanfield, and their crew; the trailer's practically chock full of stunts, shootouts, and action. In other words? Prime Video could well have another slick crime thriller on its hands. Looking forward to watching "Play Dirty?" The new crime thriller hits Prime Video on October 1.
