Leading full turnkey retrofit specialists Procast Group got in the swing of things as they raised more than £7000 for three Lanarkshire charities at their annual golf event. Affectionately known as The Three Amigos Golf Day, the much-loved fundraiser has become a highlight of the Hamilton firm’s social calendar. Organised by Gerry Peat, a key figure at Procast Group, the event took place at Airdrie Golf Club, drawing enthusiastic participation from colleagues, partners and friends of the company. This year’s tournament raised an impressive total of £7000, which will be split between Action for Children North Lanarkshire, Dalziel Rugby Club Youths and Eddlewood Football Association, providing crucial support for young people across the community during the summer months. Action for Children North Lanarkshire will receive £2500, which will be used to take a group of young carers on a well-deserved holiday to Flamingo Land, offering them a break from their daily responsibilities. Dalziel Rugby Club in Motherwell also scooped £2500, which will go towards purchasing new kits, hosting a family fun day and delivering SAMH mental health workshops for their young players. Eddlewood Football Association will benefit from a £2000 donation, helping fund a free community fun day for local children and youth football teams. Gerry Peat, HR manager at Procast Group, expressed his pride in the outcome of this year’s event and all who helps at Airdrie Golf Club. He said: "Our golf day is always a fantastic occasion that our team and partners look forward to each year. "To be able to raise such a substantial sum while enjoying a day out together is incredibly rewarding. "Knowing this money will have a direct impact on the lives of young people across our communities this summer makes it even more worthwhile. "Supporting charitable causes and helping to build a more sustainable and positive future is embedded in the culture here at Procast Group. "I want to thank everyone who took part and contributed, their generosity makes a real difference." *Don't miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire. Sign up to our newsletters here .
