The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly shifted the remaining matches of the ongoing Pakistan Super League to Karachi amidst the ongoing cross-border tension with India. As per PSL 2025 format, six teams were to next play matches in Rawalpindi but the decision has been taken after India responded with drones and missiles on the night of May 7-8 in response to Pakistan’s attempt to engage a number of military targets in Northern and Western India including Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj.
Indian armed forces have launched a military operation, Operation Sindoor, striking nine terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the Pahalgam terror attack last month.
