Purcell Marian takes down Avon Lake to win OHSAA Division III girls basketball state championship

DAYTON, Ohio — Perhaps the most dominant stretch in OHSAA basketball history closed its final chapter Friday.
Senior forward Dee Alexander had 27 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists as the Cincinnati Purcell Marian Cavaliers took down the Avon Lake Shoregals, 72-44, to win their fourth consecutive OHSAA girls basketball state championship.
