MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold official talks with visiting Tajik leader Emomali Rahmon later on Monday.
On Saturday, the two leaders held an informal meeting with their Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko.
Putin and Rahmon will discuss "prospects for the development of Russian-Tajik allied strategic partnership relations with a focus on trade, investment and humanitarian cooperation," the Kremlin announced, while the Tajik Foreign Ministry has said that "bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres" will be discussed.
Also, the two leaders are expected to exchange opinions on pressing regional issues. In addition, they will launch the construction of an international education center for gifted children and the Vladimir Mayakovsky State Russian Drama Theater in Dushanbe via video link.
A number of bilateral documents will be signed following Rahmon’s visit to Russia, his 88th since 1992.
