A video of Rishabh Pant engaged in a funny conversation with MS Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi, at his sister’s wedding has gone viral on social media. Dhoni graced Pant’s family function, which also saw other Indian cricket stars like Gautam Gambhir and Suresh Raina in attendance. He will play for five-time Champions Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming IPL 2025. Chennai have started their training and practice sessions ahead of the 18th season of the league. Dhoni was retained by the team under the uncapped player category for Rs 4 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. Dhoni will not lead the team, as Ruturaj Gaikwad took over the leadership in IPL 2024. But fans are eager to see the former in action and one expects a packed Chepauk Stadium when Chennai take on arch-rivals Mumbai Indians in their opening game on Sunday, March 23. Pant, who was part of India’s Champions Trophy-winning squad, is all set to lead the Lucknow Super Giants this time. He didn’t play any games in the tournament since KL Rahul featured as the first-choice keeper. After being released by the Delhi Capitals, LSG splurged a record amount of Rs 27 crore to acquire Pant’s services. Lucknow will begin their campaign against Delhi on March 24 in Vishakhapatnam.
