@Source: news18.com
On Wednesday, Rishabh Pant copped a blow to his right foot during India’s first innings. It left him with a swollen foot which he was unable to put on the ground. He was driven off the field in unbearable pain following which BCCI medical team took him for scans at a hospital. India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has copped a nasty blow to his right foot with spot of blood and swelling visible. (AFP Photo) While being driven, Rishabh Pant looked in agony with former India head coach Ravi Shastri claiming that the cricketer’s reaction indicates it’s a serious injury. “He has a pain threshold that’s very high, and for him to be grimacing in pain in that fashion makes it very serious,” Shastri said on Sky Sports. (AP Photo) Former England captain Michael Atherton said if Rishabh Pant gets ruled out, it will be a big blow to India. “…there is an uncertainty which we don’t know. But it looked like a quite serious injury, because you don’t get carted off otherwise,” Atherton said on Sky Sports.
