Rowing Ireland scrambling to fill gaps with just one coach remaining from success at Paris Olympics
@Source: independent.ie
A Rowing Ireland task force is pushing to appoint coaches soon in order to bolster the roster in the first year of the Olympic cycle for Los Angeles 2028.
The attempt to find a successor to high-performance director Antonio Maurogiovanni, whose contract was not renewed after Paris 2024, has twice failed, and just one coach of those behind that successful campaign remains, outgoing lightweight coach Dominic Casey (No 3).
